Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Tolvo (the "Service"), provided by Tolvo ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
About the Operator
Tolvo is operated by Zebin Li, an individual sole trader (autónomo) based in Spain. Contact: support@tolvo.app. Full fiscal identification (NIF) and registered address are available upon written request to that address.
1. Eligibility & Account
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter contracts. You agree to provide accurate information when registering, including a valid phone number for verification, and to keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
2. The Service
Tolvo provides real-time translation for international phone calls. The Service includes:
- Outbound translated calls placed through our infrastructure
- Dedicated phone numbers ("Tolvo Numbers") for Pro and Pro+ subscribers, enabling translated inbound calls
- AI-assisted dialing, where an automated agent places a call on your behalf and reports the outcome
- Bilingual transcripts of your calls
We do not guarantee that any specific phone number, country, or language will remain available, and the Service may evolve over time.
3. Subscription & Billing
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, our payment processor. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge the recurring fee until you cancel.
- Free: 10 minutes per month, no dedicated number
- Pro ($9/month): 500 minutes, 1 dedicated number, 5 AI agent calls
- Pro+ ($19/month): 2,000 minutes, up to 3 dedicated numbers, unlimited AI agent calls
Unused minutes do not roll over. If a payment fails, your account enters a 30-day grace period during which the Service continues; after that, the account reverts to Free and any dedicated numbers are released. Pricing may change with at least 30 days' notice.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- Call emergency services (911, 112, 999, 110, and equivalents) — these are blocked
- Call premium-rate or paid numbers — these are blocked
- Harass, threaten, defame, or stalk anyone
- Place unsolicited commercial calls in violation of TCPA, GDPR, or equivalent laws in any jurisdiction
- Conduct fraud, impersonate others, or extract sensitive information
- Send political robocalls or campaign communications
- Resell or sublicense the Service without our written consent
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload our systems
You are solely responsible for the legality of your calls in both your jurisdiction and the recipient's jurisdiction. Recording laws vary by country — although Tolvo does not record audio, the transcript may still be considered a record. You are responsible for any required two-party consent.
5. AI Agent Calls
If you use the AI agent dialing feature, you understand and agree that:
- The AI will identify itself as an AI assistant calling on your behalf at the start of the call. It will not impersonate a human
- The AI is instructed to gather information only, not to make binding commitments, give payment details, or confirm bookings
- You are responsible for reviewing the AI's summary and following up directly when needed
- We are not liable for the AI's conversational outputs, including misunderstandings, omissions, or unintended statements
6. Tolvo Numbers
Dedicated phone numbers are leased from telecom carriers and remain Tolvo's property. You receive a non-transferable right to use the number while your subscription is active. Upon cancellation or non-payment, the number is held for 30 days (during which you may reactivate) and then released. We cannot guarantee that a released number will be reassignable to you in the future.
7. Privacy & Data
We do not record call audio. We do store bilingual transcripts to provide the Service. See our Privacy Policy for details on what we collect, how it is used, and your rights.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including the Tolvo name, logo, software, prompts, and design, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to use the Service per these Terms. You retain ownership of the content of your calls and transcripts.
9. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that translations are accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Critical communications — medical, legal, financial, or emergency — should not rely on the Service alone. Telecommunications networks are imperfect: calls may drop, audio may distort, or connections may fail.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tolvo, its officers, employees, and affiliates are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your misuse of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party rights.
12. Termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account or by contacting support@tolvo.app. We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if your activity creates legal or technical risk, or if required by law. Upon termination, your transcripts will be deleted after 30 days unless you request earlier deletion.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email at least 30 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Spain, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights granted to you by the law of your country of residence. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of Spain.
If you are a consumer in the European Economic Area, you also have the right to use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
